As Dan says. If you leave them damp you run the risk of odours and (a bit like leaving a dish to soak) the fibers may fall out as the glue softens.

Fk1000p looks better, is easier to apply/remove and is cheaper by memory (for the oz). Oh and it's heat and fairly chemical resistant so useful on metal and wheels. Why anyone uses 476 anymore is beyond me!

What are you after with the citrus stuff, John? A traffic film remover (TFR)? Shampoo wise, GWash, Dodo Born to be Mild (BTBM) and Meg's Hyper Wash/Shampoo Plus are my go to products. All wax friendly, none leave anything (measurable) behind, which is what I'm after (that's what a QD is for)...
