Bump on this, what's the best way to get at it from the top? I can't even see it. My car's on my driveway, which is on a slope, it won't start, can't jack it up because slope, so if I can would like to get in from the top to give the motor a poke and clean the connection.

Can you get to the starter motor without removing the exhaust manifold? Not to change it, just to get to the connections and give them a clean.
