However Rsport was in a bit of a hole with the 197 and the megane being good but not great cars. The .R did so much for the brand of Rsport.
The .R was different and was something "a mainstream" company hadnt done with their cars. Everyone was pushing power figures to prove a point.
There are many off shoots of the VXRs that i would say were more of a fail because the .R had all the publicity.

Not always true. Take the Veyron for example. There was no money in it for VW.
R26R was never going to sell huge amount but i got huge publicity for the brand.
Yeh but its a automatic, Weve had the car 3 years now and its piss poor. My Dad has a C5 and thats got a standard auto box in it. Which is 10 times better. Why they didnt use a similar box i have no idea.

IMO the R wasnt a fail, it but Rsport in all the mags/TV shows. It did good things for the brand and it also put Rsport on the top of the Hot hatch table it also did a little damage to the Focus RS launch (i love the RS).

VTS = Good car
VTR = terrible car
My mam has a VTR and i have never driven a car that is so bad the gear box is terrible, even with all the updates. Gear changes delay :@ and the car selects odd gears :@ Why any one would buy one as a warm hatch i have no idea. I hope you got it really cheap...

They are not to hard to paint. If you found a spare set, just in case you messed up.
Can either paint them fully that try to do the lettering by hand. Or use a liquid mask on them to mask the writing off.

Theres not a great deal of point though, when you can Turbo the Clio F4R and get decent power.
The Fabrication would be pretty big to put the 225 gear in, so just make more sense to turbo/charge the clio engine.

Its had alot done but i dont believe the BHP claim reading the spec, and he may get 10K in parts, if he was to split it and but the car baack to standard.
BHP wises very little. which is expected of a NA engine
However the the map is a good map, the "driveabilty" will improve and the 5K kick will be smoother.
The Rstuner is also capable of doing diagnostics which is very useful, if you dont want to keep it you can have it unlocked and sell it...
