I would say that's the only reliable way to get an accurate figure if you want to put any stock in the calculations. Too many approximated variables otherwise - you could be miles out. Question is - how do you get access to a weighbridge? Are there public ones?

Interesting stuff - although playing Devil's advocate, he would say that wouldn't he, being in the inlet-matching business! Not doubting what he says though :)

It might depend on whether you have an RS stamped inlet - if you have, you won't get so much of a gain from matched inlets, though still some.

I think Tig it's one price as all the orders have to be processed separately, same day or not. The alternative was one bulk order at a cheaper price but that's out the window now.

Ah ok. Think I drilled 2mm pilot holes for mine in the bumper. Think they were 4mm screws about ½in long.

Drill to be safe, which means jacking the front up high enough to be able the get the drill under vertically so use axle stands. Unless you've got an inspection pit or a ramp lol. Think I used about 10 screws on mine - every 6 inches or so and a couple on each corner. Plastic self-tapping...

I keep the interior tidy - ie nothing loose sliding about, no sweet wrappers etc...., and it gets hoovered every now and again when the gravel in the footwell gets deep enough :D Impossible to keep in spotless with kids in and out every day. Doesn't really equate with you avatar that...

So can I bypass/short the resistor pack to see if the fan works? Sorry if that's dumb, I'm no mechanic. What does the resistor pack control - the fan speed? I'd doubt it's blocked, it worked fine yesterday then nothing this morning. It's not blowing cold..... it's not blowing at all...

So I started the engine this morning and put the fan to Max temp and windscreen demist, came back 2 mins later and..... still iced up :( Controls all work as normal and I can hear the clicks as it tries to work, but no fan. Done a search and the Resistor pack seems most likely culprit, so 1)...
