ok, get the car up on axle stands all round.
place the tubes behind the sil lip so they are not visible.. if the kit came with brackets, put them onto the tubes and mark where your going to have to drill on the sil. drill the holes, mount the tube.
same for the other side.

this is a 16v bonnet on a mk 1 ph 3.
the yellow lines ive drew are where the actual bonnet overhangs the headlights. inwards to the yellowlines you can see a gap where the headlight isnt big enough to meet the bonnet.

any damage? rust? dents? scratches? for a basic prep and respray at a small garage your looking at anywhere from 600-1k, at bigger places it will probably be 1k-1.5k
if its a brand new bonnet
- it will be prepped (scuffed with an abrasive pad or sanded with P320 or P400)
- then it will be painted, depends on the type of paint and the bodyshop as to how. if its metallic it will be basecoat/laquer, if its a straight colour then you can paint it high solid 2k...
what kind of paint is it? and where do you live? bodyshop will charge 50-75 for a full mop, those who do pcs i dunno, pm brazo or rich

on a 1990, why not get one of the lads to pop round n pc it for ya? or take it to a bodyshop and get it mopped. even a good valet and polish on old cars can double their value and get them sold so much faster
ide recommend a bodyshop mate.
it is only a few bolts, but the adjustment is the b**ch, knowing whether to adjust the hinge, in which direction, to adjust the catch, higher or lower, if the door needs "persuading" etc etc.
2 man job and really aint worth yourself the hassle
