It's quite random for a TDC to just completely go, they normally fail over time with intermittent starting, but anyway...
Yes TDC and crank sensor are the same thing, it's easy enough to change/clean, so I'd clean it first, then change it if cleaning it makes a difference (as it's probably on...
I don't like it because it's all a bit tatty, if it were brand new, I'd probably love it.
Give me a new dash top and I'll be happier. (and I need to fit dash strips).
But problems...
Blower related:
I can't get the blowers to blow properly cold (I don't think the ph2 controls pull the wire...
Love you too.. x
I'll be honest, it's f**king hard work. Quite a pain in the ass really. I've got most things working with a few annoying teething problems, but there's not much I seem to be able to do about them.

Second hand driveshafts are fine...
The cause of this was the uppper gearbox mount, it had lost its lower bolt.
The mount is under the airbox/battery. Check that first.
I did change my driveshaft in the end, but that was for a knackard cv joint (clicking when turning).
Any more troubles, feel free to pm me and I'll try to help.
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
I hadn't looked at this for a little while, what a treat!!!
Bonnet/dash look amazing, I love the bonnet a lot (what with it not having a badge and all ;) )
Front bumper really gives you an idea of how the colour works on the car, as without it, the ph1's pretty...
