DON'T LET THE GARAGE POLISH IT. Is my first piece of advice.
Next, LTT or Gliptone for the leather products. Both the cleaners and conditioners are great (although many feel that they're not needed... they work and remove a lot of dirt).
Have a read of Gally's threads on processes. Products...
In that case, a good soak in a high ratio'd APC snow foam (1:4 for G101 works VERY well), followed up by tardis, then Iron-X.
Shame I'm not around your area anymore Kris mate, as I'd love to get my hands on it and get stuck in!!!
That last post comes across as arsey - not intentionally Squirrel.
Dave, it should be here this weekend. You around? I've got a spare Saturday for the first time in 7 years, lol.
I don't want Autosol (Toby, I'll reply in a bit). If I wanted Autosol I would have driven to the nearest Halfords. I was after something like Mercury for a one off job, but have bought it now to either sell on or use on the R8 as required.
Re: Z4 - Perfect No More
A well earned break fella. Staying in the cottage we chatted about ages ago when you posted photos of the clio up there. Near Patterdale?
It's technically a form of fallout, so the usual process Kris mate. A good snow foam with APC, followed by tardis, iron-x and a good claying session. If the car is well protected, soapy warm water with a pH neutral shampoo will remove it.
Don't scrub!
Using another polish would be my guess, but it's so hard to suggest when I can't see it in person. Are you local to a detailer at all? Where in South Yorks are you?
Re: Z4 - Perfect No More
Is it too early to joke that it was me and I did it deliberately so you'd be delayed and therefore be up in the Lake District when I'm there (31st March onwards)?
