Get it mate, not only are you getting one before Welshname, but you're not even that far from him location wise.
You have my permission to royally piss him off :)
Yep, I'm very aware of the value of the car, and realistically, it's only going to go up. So nothing will be sold to fund the project. The coilovers are welded onto donor 323 struts, so even the struts will be original.
An original example will always sell for more than a modified example...
Yep, they're Zinc coated, apparantly. Don't worry, all I'll be doing is scrubbing the rust off, and giving them a quick spruce up :)
In the meantime, if you want to borrow mine at any point, just holler.
I hear what you're saying mate, I really do. Engine wise, it will get some mild tuning...
Last night I wanted to clean up the coilovers. This was unfortunately stopped when the top nut, holding the top mount and subsequently the coil on, was stuck solid. I couldn't move it.
So tonight I went and bought an impact gun, which simply laughed at the nut and it was off in seconds. The...
Going to buy this tonight:

Hopefully make light work of those top nuts!
So the top nuts holding the topmounts onto the struts have been tightened by the Hulk it would seem.
They're locked solid and won't budge, so I'm going to try tonight/tomorrow/this weekend with an impact gun, hopefully that will have them off, and I can dismantle and clean the coilovers.
Yep. It sits there on my driveway. It hasn't been driven in weeks now, yet it looks at me with it's puppy dog face and I know it just wants to be driven!
I think I've gone mushy in the brain, but I don't care.
If you get an E28, Rhys, we will quite easily, be the coolest kids on the block ;)
Haha, I'm addicted to it!
My girlfriend's dad restored a 1954 Splitty a few years back, it was stunning, was a complete job and really looked the part. I always remember thinking 'what's the point?' and 'how can you remain motivated?'
Now I know. Old cars have more character than some people...
I'm going to the TC tonight to buy this.
I can't be missing out on shooting a bear with an RPG, or blowing a pig away with a shotgun.
Forget the enemies, I'm just going to do the opposite of Noah, and wipe out the indigenous animal species.
Had to resist the urge to buy some pop out glass that was going for sale.
Really need to buy some "sensible" stuff/start putting some decent money to one side for the respray!
Updates :D :D :D
Coilovers arrived today :)
They need a good clean up, and they'll be going on. Taken a little while for them to arrive, but they're here now, and that's what counts :)
Also, a guy called Alan, who was the owner before the last one before me, got in contact with me about...
Yep, 100% the same as Jesus, the GSF item fixed mine for about a week, and it started playing up.
I got a genuine item from Renault, and once the system was bled, it was fine.
If it's hitting the cold limiter, it's on the cold map.
Mine was doing this, it'll cause a drop in MPG, more than a drop in MPH.
Change the stat, and it should fix it, it did with me anyway.
