similar but 172 slightly better mpg but not by much. Same servicing tyres etc. Price wise a decent 172 will cost 4-5k dependant on mileage. Coilovers add £1000 and job done.

Yes but some people inc myself refer to a 182 with cup packs as 182FF with cup pack not a 182FF 172 is a 172 not a 172FF

Oh yeah cup pack makes a big diff. STD 172's are not very toight on corners

Vee was the best by a mile. But 172 & 182 there is no diff except twin exhausts.

I honestly cant see any difference. Are you comparing a 182 with cup packs to a 172? Then the 182 would be better but if not speed/handling there is no difference.

just get a 172 then got coilovers. Ive had a 182/Vee and now a 172. 172's are awesome, never driven a cup so cant comment. But have driven 172 with AST coilovers on and it was good.

http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=371480 Look for leaky rear dampers. On full lock all 182's will judder a little, not an issue just poor mounts. Rear discs are expensive due to ABS so make sure not too worn down. Ive never had any serious issues with my 182 and 172. Just ghey...
