I don't doubt garages will be required to have internet connected mot equipment that just makes sense and doesn't cost the dvsa anything.
It's the camera bit that sounds unfeasable given the DVLA currently needs to make 34% budget savings by the end of this year.
From the dvla business plan...
Yeah sounds like bullshit to me,
The costs of collecting and storing 4 weeks worth of video data centralised to the DVLA and paying people to sift through it would be astronomical.
Good thread currently planning out what I’m going to do with my 172.
It’s going to be purely a summer road car/toy but will be doing various road trip holidays to France & Italy

Something to improve...
I know the basics and a bit of stuff around arduino.
I find I learn best when I try to just do it rather than following tutorials, just trying to think of something thats suitably complex enough but also interesting.
Ideally mixing sensors, servos etc intially I was thinking about some kind of...
So I’m lockdown bored and fusion 360 has added a electronics package so figured I may as well learn it.
Anyone recommend something that I can work on as an example that’s going to teach me a decent amount as well?

Used one of these on the Clio for the last 2 years sat on the drive with an extension lead never had any issues.
I had intended on using this short term and swapping to a c-tek but it’s been faultless so haven’t needed a reason to change.
For future reference autopaint st helens will do it for half the price, I've had artic & monaco colours off them both decent matches.

Its a timber door.
So far I've reinforced the door and put up some more pir lights, its a bit like a football stadium now..:ROFLMAO:
I've also bought a couple of these to cover the entrance and exits which is probably the best deterrent because they are bloody loud, scared the s**t out of the...
Expensive grinders are a waste of time imo I just buy the cheapo baulker from toolstation for the price there decent.
I like that they don’t use the shitty switch design that gets gummed up with dust.

Well if you’ve got the cash then go for it I’d certainly love a full set of Milwaukee but I can’t justify spending that much.
My assortments of tools would make the Milwaukee fan boys in here cringe... :ROFLMAO:
Just ordered this the other day actually...

Just pick up a drill without a battery for £60 job done shouldn’t need anything more than that?
Oh I’ve only got one piece of Milwaukee kit(impact wrench), the rest is a mix of Ryobi, Sealey other budget stuff etc.
Milwaukee is fantastic quality but a complete waste of money for weekend warriors unless your loaded in my opinion.
I’ve been trying to repair the daily derv while we are stuck in lockdown and it’s got the weirdest fault.
It wouldn’t start initially so replaced the crankshaft sensor and now it will run.
but if you drive it over a bump or even close the bonnet with it running it cuts out.
I’ve wiggled every...
