Thanks Roy but I don't have DVD Shrink, I have a programme called Intervideo DVD copy. I 'ripped' Lock Stock earlier and it took 3 hours+ lol! Would the speed of my laptop T2800 core duo 1.5 gigs make it that slow lol? Will try and use my gaming laptop next to see if that speeds things up...

A Mac is actually a pc anyway when you look at the architecture there all running core2duo's use the same ram and HD's etc! Just the software that differs! (Ok yes thats a simplified version but they all have an intel inside lol ;))

I would like to rip all my DVD's onto my laptops HD and I have the software for that. As I understand I could stream the movies from the laptop to the PS3 but would rather just copy them onto the PS3's HD as its a big un. How can I do this without an external HD as backup? Can I do it...

Just set up PSP and PS3 on remote play and you can then either stream tv onto the ps3 or transfer a recorded file (MP4 iirc) onto the psp

Multiplayer is where its at for me tbh, the single player games I have enjoyed have been quite expansive and immersive like GTA4 and MGS4

The online gears of war 2 'beta' is soon to be over thankfully as a huge patch (more than MS normally allow in size) is soon to hit xbox live with a revamped (i.e. working!) matchmaking system, free maps and 'stuff' :cool:

Make sure you take the new battery out of you are using it plugged in for long periods as it kills the battery - have just done the same! Yep memory should cost around £15 a gig from t'net or £60 a gig from the high street! its very easy to replace
