Basically the archliner is fucked, a thin scratch on the lip on the bumper, 2 in black mark on the rear quarter which i think is paint and then a few scuffs on my wheel.
The rear bumper was already scuffed and scratched so...
Just spoke to the police again..
The man said that he is going to give me the other drivers details and give the other driver my details. We then have to call our insurers and they will sort it out.
However, i dont want to claim off him and as his front bumper had obly unlipped itself im...
Welcome!
I had alot of problems with my 1.2 16v. The ecu cover had worn through the wires so i tapped it all up along with every other bare wire i found and the car was fine then!
I remember someone telling me it could of been the throttle assembly but in the end it was just the bare wires...
Just had a call from the mrs whos taken the car to college today, she said theres a loud rattle coming from the rear wheel.
As the arch liner is broken im guessing it will be that, but is there anything else i should look out for after a knock like this?
After he hit me i carried on because theres no way im stopping on the dualcarridgeway. I got odff at the next exit and when i was out looking at the damage and he drove passed me.
I didnt get his details though, just a black volvo s40!
Cool, thanks for the info. Putting my mind at rest :)
Yeah it could of been alot more serious so im really happy that no one is hurt and my car.. well, you wouldnt be able to notice if you didnt know!
Yeah thanks, just really the 'undertaking' part i was more worried about.
Because i was coming from a slip lane would it still be classed as undertaking?
Cheers
I never got his reg as i was infront and i was shitting myself after someone hitting me haha.
I dont know exactly how fast i was going but it was roughly 70. Couldnt of been much more(if any) as i had just pulled out onto the main road.
Really gets on my tits when people dont check their...
If you turn your wheel so your thumbgrips are at the top and bottom, look behind the wheel and you will see 2 holes. Thats the 2 screws you need to undo.
And the SAS is the steering wheel alignment sensor.
Firstly, i'm not sure if this is the correct place for this thread but if not then i'm sorry!
Anyways, i was on my way to the dump earlier and i came down a sliproad to join the dual carridgeway, i drove along the sliproad and got up to speed (70)ish.
There were 2 cars in the outside lane, i...
So the alarm was going off earlier in the daylight, now its dark and its not going off anymore. Going by a few posts on here about the sun setting the interior sensors off im going to try and cover the them tomorrow and see if they are the problem!
Is there any way to stop them from working at all?
Hi all..
Over the last few days since the cold weather has started really my alarm keeps going off on the 172.
Everytime i lock it, it will start going off after a few minutes. Ive tried disconnecting the battery for a while which didnt help, now ive just disconnected the bonnet pin which...
Yeah whatever brakes you get, make sure you get the washers to put on aswell. I never fitted any to mine because i didnt know about then at the time, and my rear wheels had ALOT of play in them. Dangerous
Yeah you will find that nearly every reply to this thread will tell you to get a skoda splitter. As they are so cheap and they actually look very good!
Thats it^^
Just make sure you dont spin your SAS ot break any wires. Be careful when your removing the airbag because theres 2 plugs on the back of it that you will need to undo
