I agree with most of what you say Steve but std for std the clio wins on both speed and handling every time, its no good saying my coilovered ibiza, which has another 30bhp (or so) would keep with or even beat the clio, do the same to the clio and it wins every time!

Why no laquer? Is it a two pack paint system i.e. all mixed in, if so the last coat would have probbaly had plenty of thinners in it - a gloss coat if you like?

All sounds fine, though on a new black finish, no need for AG paint renovator, use meguiars scratch - x or AG super resin on any minor scratches/swirls. I would go for NXT wax and yes your right on the applicator pads and cloths and a QD would be fine for removing petrol spills

A sloppy bird sh*t may well etch after only a few hours, sounds like you may have some stusk on tree sap as well if parked under a tree. The roof could probbaly do with a good polish, something stronger than scratch-x, try and find someone near you who owns a porter cable pc and polish the roof...

The above are only paint sealants and not particularly good ones at that, buy a bottle of autoglym SRP and EGP and save yourself some money! Or if you really want to go mad...............................must resist;)

I would certaintly try it as the 1/4 mile time would as KDF shows suggest a bog std 172, yet the 0-60 time is more in keeping with the engine mods
