Hi all.. Same as every other 1*2 steering wheel, mine has melted and has no thumbgrips left. Very uncomfy to drive now. So I'm on the hunt for a new wheel. Not too expensive, just for daily driving but something that looks decent. Any suggestions? Thanks! Oh, and its a ph2 172!

My 2003 172 has autolights. as the above says, if you dont want them on, just turn them on off on off and it will beep. same again to put them on again. if it was daylight then it could be a problem with your brightness sensor for your autolights? possibly.

How much is the whole conversion costing? Is it just the engine that needs changed or are there other parts too?

The megane engine fit in a 172? :o Clios should come like that standard :D

Lol daniel, Nothing to do with YOUR stereo problem but the previous owner has fitted a sony stereo in my car, I was just wondering what I'd need to do to put a standard one back in. Would any clio headunit fit or would it need codes etc etc? In up under the passenger side there's 2 wires...

When I was trying to get it out, ended up using a blow torch underneath while my mate hammered a large fflat head screwdriver into the bolt, and used plenty of WD from top and bottom. Took about half an hour to get it out. When I put the seats back in I just used a normal bolt.

What b******s, I normally fold mine in when I go in for the night as I park next to a pavement and there's always little kids going about.

Can someone tell me Ifthe pulley will actually snap or break? Or does it just get very worn?

My dephaser makes a rattle like noise when the car is warmed up, maybe the same for yours?

the whole cars were different colours? haha maybe have a look for a bumper then, 200 is still cheaper than getting my one sprayed!!

Thanks for the info but... What's that got to dowith my bumpers and wings ? Haha. I'm guessing there's more work in the bumpers due to all the corners and edges so I can't really compare the prices!

Would it be cheeky to ask him just to do the bumpers? Tbh, its an 8 year old car, I'm not worried if there's a little bit of difference because the bumpers and wings are usually different colours anyway.

He's doing it as a homer for 350, it was 380 for the front bumper and both wings. He's worked on my brothers car before and it was a good job. Like you say, he's seen it and if he thinks that's what he needs to do then fair enough. I got a quote of 200 for just the 2 bumpers from another man...

It will be a lovely car with black wheels! Don't know why people decide to put hidious wheels on a clio, when the standard ones are already great looking :s As vickey said, if you want a car for mpg, then don't buy a RS. All depends how your drive it though.

Aye the bit on the rear bumper is right on the corner. I don't know about painting or anything, that's why I asked, I was just curious. The front bumper has light scratches down both sides as if the previous owner has tried to squeez through a tight road, with rough bushes or something. And...

Mine says renault sport on the top, I thought they all said that, is that the RS your on about? Can you really notice that extra gain or is it just figures?

What sort of RS stamp is on the inlets, does this mean they are matched already? Anyone know what sort of bhp gains I'd get from mapping a 172?
