If youve been detailing for 5 years then you should know that polishing requires cutting of the laquer/paint, resulting in less every time you polish it. I think what Gally is trying to say is that if your car is left untreated properly (machine polishing) The current paintwork state will keep...
If you get a bit of dew/condensation on your bonnet, just DAB it up with a MF cloth. If it was in the same day as you started it then i will be change in the temperature thats all and the wax is trying to cure (will take longer). This will create a funny looking hazing effect.
Never a fact mate, the FRP i done above was 11 years old and id say it was 100% corrected. It has been garaged most of its life but i guess there are pleanty more examples out there.
Unfortunately not, he started it up a few times and i was very impressed. Sounded as good as his fez st500 that he also had with the mountune cams in. Are they quick?
Tell me about it, i had to phone Paul (Miracle) to try and get the best possible explanation as to why it was so hard. If i remember rightly, this was the first time i ever had to drop power gloss in with 3.02 i think and just keep working and working. Compounding was a nightmare yet the...
Love the car mate!!! Taking a liking to the green now. I wanted a liquid yellow one at first but then an albi 197 came onto the forecourt and made me change at the last minute.
Lmao!!! I was thinking huh? and then huh? These ceramic names/coatings are doing my head in!!!! For some reason i think sometimes that they arent sealants. Why cant it all be easy? Lol
Not really, depends on what finish you have on the car. C1, Aquartz and a few super sealants wouldnt even get penetrated with a clay bar. Compounding would be in order for some, apc for others
To be honest mate, as youve used SRP as a foundation layer, you wont need to use it again until you decide to start the whole car from square one which will involve APC'ing the car. Using both products vice versa will be cancelling each other out so to speak so your wasting the JUICE. As JD...
If you was to put a layer of dodo on and wait for 3-4 weeks thinking it has worn off the finish, you will then end up putting SRP on and messing it up again. If you want to use SRP all the time then the only option would be to strip the whole lot youve put on your car and start again
If your using SRP and dodo, then the first initial application/applications of the SRP should be before the wax only and top the wax up when needed/prefered. Putting a polish on top of a wax will just affect the wax and it wont perform. You can get better results but there will be more stages...
I dont think its a case of stick with what you know mate as most detailing sprays are the same for application. CG synthetic detailer (pink in colour) is good stuff. You can dilute it aswell 3:1 as a clay lube. Either way, use it the same as you would with the megs stuff. Another option is the...
Id say the only detailing sprays thats ever kept up with c2 is the aquartz reload and so far the v7 suprisingly (little project breaking out). All are GOOD s**t!!!
Technically, once youve washed a well protected car, you can either spray a mist of detailer all round and blow dry the full exterior or just blow the water off as it is. Yes its a little time consuming taking prob an extra 10 mins to dry it but at least you know your not touching the paint...
Remember that SRP is basically an all in one product so some sealants dont like to sit on it very well. When i used SRP years ago, i only ever put wax on top but its no longer in my arsenal. Black hole is a very good filler but i always choose CG ez creme as it fills less but more result as i...
All depends what you want to spend, options are always endless and it always costs you more money. SRP is a cheap feel happy product that gives you satisfactory results for the money. Toomer has prob gave you a list of around £200 without the cost of a pressure washer. If you want to go into all...
White vinegar is good for spot stains but apart from that, stinks like f**k when they have been washed and also white vinegar contains acetic acid, hence why they discolour fast and dont last very long.
Even if you wash your microfibres with normal washing powder (most people know not to put conditioner in with it anyway) they will still loose absorbency quickly. Concentrated microfibre wash is great stuff although it does look decieving (like smelly piss water). A 16oz bottle will see you...
Whether it would be worth doing to another 172 is a different story, all cars respond differently with mods. With your filter 160, with inlets and hoses 162 and a remap 167
Using the dragging method on a freshly/recently waxed/sealed has never gave me any problems. When i am detailing it for the first time, i use the blotting method.
