They are lots better than standard. I prefer the feel of the 4 pots to standard, much more progressive than the standard setup. Mine has DS2500 on them and they are fine from cold but get better and better as they get warm. Stopping distances are much shorter and far more reliable than the...
Depends on the tyre 195/50/15 paradas are the same width as 205/45/16 PE2's!!!!
Its just how the manufacturers make them, paradas are more square which makes them wider.
No it isn't!!! Have you ever driven a car that has no power steering? And a car that the power steering has failed on?? THe powered car that failed has a lot heavier steering, hence the comparison isn't correct.
The length of the steering arms and the rest of the suspension/steering is...
Not quite how it will react, if you do this you are pushing the fluid through the system yourself and manufacturers have to design the steering with a safety factor if the pump fails. It means that the system can be used, but it is stupidly stiff. If you loose the power rack the steering arms...
As edde says just get a manual rack, it will be heavier than you think though, the rest of the steering and suspension is designed around it being powered.
I was building up faster and faster all day, i just didn't have the confidance in the tyres (sidewalls were too soft and they promoted lots of understeer). With better tyres i know i would have been loads faster.
Would probably be lighter than a Carbon one (they have all the same structural stuff in them etc. as the o.e. ones) and they are about 6kg lighter than standard.
Bonnet will just be a fiberglass replacement (would need pins though) with no vent in it. One could be put in by yourselfs if you wanted to before paint.
Not the fastest, but i was having fun. I have timed several laps from the end of the day, and i was running consistant 2.01-2.04 laps.

Yep!!! Not decide how they will be done yet (number of layers/framework), but i have a guy interested in doing them and they will be quite cheap (about £160ish)
He might do bootlids as well!!!
I would reposintion your filter further back (straight line to the throttle body would be best. Then build a semi sealed box around it (will need drainage holes for water). Then i would smooth in a large NACA duct in the front of the bonnet that will feed directly into the airbox. The filter...
I was running around 26 front and 28 rear on the day and they were holding quite nice at that.
There was loads of westfields and EVO's that were stupidly fast (EVO's were running slicks and straight cut boxes!!!) and the stickered up 182 was fast (running about 15-20mph faster than me on the...
