Yep, it pulled the handbrake on becuase of the angle, the garage who fitted the dics 'fixed' it the next day. Drove a mile and it went again, having a nightmare at the moment.

Run it into the ground if you are a student. I (and many others) have been down the route of throwing far too much money at a car just for the hell of it. No point in getting yourself into MORE student debt just to have a slightly quicker car.
Get a quicker car when you have a decent job etc.
I'm sure that could be touched up and wet sanded/polished back up at a decent cost. I'd try that first anyway, worst case would be a spray which you think it needs anway.
