Hey I don't like that :( face, means lots of money involved. if it's the heater matrix surley my heating wouldn't work properly?
It sounds, I say sounds because I doubt it is, coming from the roof, ie the actuall roof behind the sunroof, but theres nowhere for the water to sit there.
And...
sorry going to sound stupid mate, can you tell me where abouts exactly there are, we're talking about on my mk1.
is it a mission to unblock like most things on a french car?
My sunroof does leak a little bit but today when I pulled away I heard the noise of water splashing, sounds like it's in the car, i checked for any bottles of water there isn't any, i pulled the rubber from the roof lining next to the sunroof theres no water there, if the sunroof leaks does...
I use some autogylm(sp?) spray on glue which sticks the sub to the carpet, also sprayed the rear of the carpet.
Doesn't ruin it either as I've removed it a couple of times.
Cheers if it's the tappets I take it not a serious issue just annoying? I'm going to do a whole oil change on it well tell a lie National Tyres are going to do an oil and filter change for £20 (Visco 7000 0w-40) can't really beat that doing the work myself.
My Clio thinks it's a diesel I try to tell him that he's not I even show him the Unleaded sticker our french friends placed on him.
Any idea what it might be, you know the sound really tappy, it's got more noticable as of late I'd say and if I turn the sub off I car hear it tapping away...
Cheers Mike, I know for a fact the discs are fine as I've just replaced the front pads and suspensions and hubs last week.
There is a problem with the brakes though, as I blead them correctly when I done the front pads, at the time and they were good and stayed sharp for a week now they're...
Okay mike your my inspiration I have a Haynes so I might as well use it.
This is what I've got so far
Haynes Manual
Basic Wrench Set
Torx Set
Can someone kindly point me in the direction as to what else I should get, I'm willing to attempt the service myself, thinking now the car cost...
Hello,
How much excluding parts should I be looking to pay for a full service; theres one down my work which wants £140 plus parts and vat. It's convenient as it's just over the road from me but I was wondering if the price is a little extortionate?
He said basically have around £250 to hand...
You know that sound heard usually in the morning when you first apply the brakes, sort of like the pads are grinding the sh*te off and what have you.
Well everytime I start up after a little break I get this sound, for the first few brake appliances, after that it goes away.
Anyone know what...
Will do mate cheers everyone, I tell you what I have noticed though. the car is a lot less willing to lockup in the wet; Has getting it tracked improved that?
Thats what I'm getting at too, KwikFit are pretty much Sh*tFit in most cases but I do believe they've got it right as they done it for me three times and showed me the levels and steering wheel being locked along the way on the second times, nothing else they could do I don't think.
If I...
To be honest it's a grey area, some of the 16v's on here could probably beat our MPG's. obviously the condition and when the car was last serviced is a big factor in it.
Yeah it makes sence mate, but they showed me it on there lazer thingy (dont make me get all technical on you lol) all reading -1.
Might cut my losses and get it done at Hi-Q they've always done me good at my local branch, only reason I didnt go with them today is their ramps broken.
Dunno if it will help you as you said you don't have a leak, but I sprayed my infared connectors when i had a leak; even though it was still working as it normally did with WD40 and the remote locking range pretty much doubled so maybe yours needs a clean / spray? just a suggesion.
tbh mate dont really know all i saw is the clamp on the steering wheel, I have recently replaced the suspension and hubs with 54mm spacing ones off a 1.2 if that could have anything to do with it?
I'm needing someone local to Surrey who doesn't mind sparing half an hour in exchange for a few quid.
Basically I've had my car tracked from KwikFit and the steering wheel is now at the 10'oc position to go straight.
I took it back they redone it as I watched, with a steering clamp in the...
Do you give it some stick? my 1.4 gets 240 from £30, which is how much I filled up last time and the petrol light is on now at around 236 miles over bumps so say I can take it to 250 miles from £30 quid.
Thats in and around town no fast roads, with sub in boot always on. But I cant afford to...
They did do it, I watched them clamp the wheel staight and adjust the tracking matey then called me over and explained he's adjusted the tracking to -1 or something like that.
He thinks something might be bent, but like I said I'm not too fussed as Clio MK2 is coming April so I just want the...
Would anyone in and around the Surrey area be willing to do this for me for a small fee of course? I could drive down to you.
Even though it's only a few bolts I really don't want to attempt it myself as I'm scared of ballsing it up. Plus I don't know where my wrenches are.
Okay lads, had my tracking done at Kwik-Fit, for my sins lol.
They've set my Clio up to -1.
But now when I go along the wheel is at 10'oc, I took it back they redone it i watched and they did use a steering wheel lock.
They're thinking somethings bent on it, I have had a bit or work done in...
