Re: Cambelt c**kup
There is your answer then mate - they didnt crank the engine by hand and bend the valve - they are lying to you - they started the egnine probably without fitting the cambelt properly, it either slipped or snapped causeing the pistons to force the valves into the head of...
Re: Cambelt c**kup
No, im saying it would be pretty tough to bend them - it would take an almighty whack tbh - valves usually only bend when a cam belt snaps and the pistons force the valves onto the block of the engine. Before you phone the mechanic i would rather someone backed me up on...
btw TDC means Top Dead Centre if you were worrying - to be honest, beding a valve whilst hand cranking an engine would take one hell of a lot of effort - are you sure they didnt jsut fire it up without hand cranking it? if they did then that is just pure negligence and i would be very angry if i...
however, at the end of the day - at least they were honest and they are fixing it - it wont be in their interest to screw you over by skimping further on works that need to be done to fix the car
well, chagin a single valve isnt too bad a job - it shouldt take them more than a weekend really. What you ahve to worry about is if when the valve bent - did they damage the piston rings - you should metion that to them - a bent valve usually means the valve has been forced against metal i.e...
my foggies werent working on me valver so i attempted to take off the cover and see what was wrong - all i found was a lot of sand!!!! lol - i hadnt even been to a beach in the car so i dont know (and didnt want to know) where it came from - sold it month after that withough bothering to fix it...
World of Warcraft is pretty amazing - lots of effort with lots of reward. Oblivion is totaly immersive and the graphics are outstanding - you need a proper beefy machine to run it though. I used to love all The C&C games - Mamouth tanks are the way forward!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unreal Tournement...
thing is, it really is a very very very good game. Thats why so many poeple play it! so yes, its worth installing it - however, you will become hooked on it and you will be hoping to level up your character just one more step evey time you play.
Im no geek and computers are my hobby, although...
hehe yeh, people die playing this game though!!! they get soooooo addicted that they play literally to death - you hear about that guy in Korea that did that? he was just playing and playing and eventually his body gave up!!! thats serious!
I play it on full graphics and get 68FPS!! lol -...
Ah yes my friend - but the clios worst enemy - SPACE! if you can just bolt off teh exhaust manifold from underneath and let it drop i would be pretty impressed! I stand corrected if so
as in the actual manifold has come away from the actual engine? that sounds hard to believe - those things are bolted on VERY tight! If it has come away then you engine probably wouldnt be runnning at all!!!
To change the manifold involves getting under the car, removing the exhaust pipes...
yeh i had this on mine - they go quite easily - as far as i know, its one of the wishbone bolts - you need to bolt it back though - if you nip into renault they can get the part for you - thats how i did mine - they should be able to get hte bolt and the rubber mount for you - shouldnt cost more...
Thats good to hear - so often people advertise their clios with 'parking dents' in the door s- if a halfords kit can sort them out, then its highly commendable - well done Halfords!
could be any of the mounts although i would suggest its the doggie as its in closer proximity to the pedals when compared to the top mount.
Just get under there and take it off - you will soon see if the bushes are knackered- its an easy job too
It so has to be engine mounts and nothing else - mine did this all the time when i had my valver - replaced mounts - end of problem.
Do you drive the car hard? i only ask becasue ordinarily the mounts would last a bit longer than you indicate
1) check the fuel filter - they get clogged up with loads of crap that can really hinder power - i changed mine and its really eeasy.
2) You induction kit will be sucking in hot air from the engine - as such, when the engine is cold, it will feel quick but 40% of the time, the engine will...
sounds like the mechanism playing up - although, if there is water egress into the circuitry it may cause the central locking comp to play up - best bet is a quick run to Renault to see if its a common problem im afraid
it may sound silly but have you checked your sprak plugs? I had a similar problem with my valver and it was down to oil on the sparks - this can stop them spraking and fireing the engine into life.
Like i said, it may sound a little obvious but have a check anyway. Appart from that, i would...
The rubber buffer has come away from the mount meaning that there is no cushion when the mount moves, hence, the mount is knocking directly against the metal. Common problem, you may even be able to get the rubber cushion from renault although knowing those monkeys, they will probably cahrge you...
Silver one is ok but anyone who says they like the white one NEEDS THEIR HEADS CHECKING - it looks like its all coming off the car - its TERRIBLE - how can ANYONE on here say that they think its ok? PLEASE explain!!!!!!!
well i downloaded the patch - have then gone onto website to get more credit but whenever i type in password and username, it tells me its invalid and i know it isnt!"!!! Will that be because of the patch?
