What do you mean by 'prep'? Strip them off the car etc? or primer it all up? I could easily strip down the panels I want painted guess that could bring the price down a bit?

Anyone got any information on this? Managed to get my hands on one of these so was just wondering how rare they really are and how much they normally go for? Were they an optional extra or fitted as standard to some models? Also, any pics of them fitted? This is what im talking about btw:

I cant see them making major changes to the locking mechanism between ph1/ph2 really? but then again ANYTHING is possible lol!

Anyone know if this is a straight swap? Ph2 boot lid im looking of getting will have motor built in etc. I know they have no key hole but will it still lock properly as per the central locking? Want to know if this will be a worthwhile mod :P

I assume the seller wanted to debadge. Btw, how easy is it to change an entire tailgate? Thinking of buying a ph2 silver one (same paint code), debadging that then fitting it. Cheaper than a respray! ;)

Mk2ph1 have 3 holes, and leaves holes in the boot. You have to get these filled/painted. Or.. buy a ph2 boot and get it sprayed
