While youre at it dont forget teh led washer jets and spinner hub caps.
Harness pads were designed for HARNESSES for a reason, they look sh*t on seatbelts, i have harnesses and dont even have the pads
My install in the back of mine cost me £100 in materials, that was a 8x4 sheet of mdf, and a 8x4 sheet of chequreplate, hopefully will have it in a new car soon though, so will get some pics.
Basically was the seats stripped out, chequreplate base, and boxing up around the arches, the plan was...
The other option is to buy a sh*tter for say £50, keep it taxed etc and insured but dont drive it, and have that insured 3rd party on a bonus accelerator scheme, and build uyp my no claims that way...
My curerent policy carries on till end of sept, to have an RT on it woudl cost £10 extra, for an RSi, £150 extra.
In my name an RSI would be about £2500, and an RT about £1500.
In mums name an RSi is about £1500.
Still get no claims in my mums name, but only as long as i stay with her, so...
I need a new car but im stuck in a dilema.
I have two possibilities - both cars are owned by cliosporters (or ex cliosporters).
One is a blue RSi, N reg, 103K miles, FSH, well looked after, sound car apart from a few dents/dings - £1k
The other is a 1.4 RT, K reg, 60K miles, FSH, mint...
Thuink its just a case of pulling really hard upwards, there is a clip each side whihc needs pulling outwards to get it off, its a b*****d to get off, and even more of a b*****d to get back on
Yeah on the plus side the slavage compnay are gonna let me take all the mods off ie seats etc as long as i sticj the std back in instead.
They are contesting the insurence...but my insurence boast a payout wihtin 24 houers of recieving the car docs.

Just to let those of you who care, my car has been written off onder cat. B, structural and mechanical damage.
Hopefully i can retrieve the bucket seats etc from it.
So im on the hunt for a new car now! Possibly a RSi......
Some companies will accept it otheres wont, if you check you will find that alot of insurence companies are the same company, only under different names.
Worth it if you cans ee ytourself stayng wiht the same company for a while.
Work the quote ut per month, how much does it cost per month...
uh oh
Well in the process of claiming wiht them atm, must say so far they ahve been A+
I was supposed to ring them, but they rang me, arranged for the car to be taken to their garage etc, very helpful so far.
Well see how it developes
As above
Was playing around wiht quotes, seeing what the accident would cost me, guess what, CIS dont increase your premium for one claim, if you have 2 or more then they do.
The same is true wiht speeding fines.
God i f**king love that company :)
I weould say not, due to two factors, lack of moutning points, the rea rbench isnt held on by much, and the second one is the height.
You also need to see how happy your insurence company would be wiht you removing the seats, wiht the airbags in them
Personally i woudl go wiht the B2, because the laser detector, and GPS antenna are seperate the unit itself is alot smaller than the road angel, and you can customise the B2 alot more, ie more settings can be changed.
As far as i can see the only benefit of the road angle over the B2 is the...
You can silence the alarm from inside the engine bay, i beleive its by the battery somewhere...or is that the imobiliser, i dont have a car with it, so i dunno.
Actually thinkign about it there is a fair bit of weight in seatbelts, a tenner is prolly spot on.
My 6x9s coist me £8 to send and they weight abut the same, if not less
Lo9ok int eh instruction manual for the HU, ususally there is a wiring diagram showing whihc wire is which, trace that through the ISO connector, and sp;lice into it
Check that no other wires are touching the speaker wire terminals, check that all the speaker wires are connected up ok. Check that there arent any power cables touching the speaker cables
