Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
They're being clever like Aykroyd and Murphy on Trading Places. Biding their time while others invest in Orange Juice. They're playing the market and then bam, everyone's onto o2. Buy buy buy!!
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
From the Orange website on 4G:
"When 4G launches a compatible plan on EE is required. Charges may apply and you’ll have to agree to a new minimum term on EE. Other terms apply"

The adapter for the car isn't as nice when you have a vertical docking cage that the iPhone sits in. So you have to fit the adapter and then fit that into the cage which means it'll be flapping about when you accelerate/brake.
Not that I...
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
This is true - however, it's quite likely that after 12 or 18 months a better Simplicity deal will arrive in which case you simply switch.
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
I decided on black when debating at work and the camp guy (although straight) in the office suggested white was a bit gay.
If he's saying it, I'm definitely going black.
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
Done and done.
32GB Black & Slate (GSM) Unlocked.
2-3 weeks delivery. Should be here when I return from holiday.
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
The iPhone 5's LTE doesn't operate at the 2 frequency bands that OFCOM are auctioning off (the ones Vodafone & o2 are looking at getting and launching 4G on).
There's a possibility they could both be allowed to refarm one of their 3G bands...
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
That's what I'm thinking. o2 Simplicity £15 or so a month for 12 months and then think about changing when 4G kicks in.
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
Hang on a second then. What is arguably the best deal for PAYG sims? I want unlimited texts more than anything else, and a decent data allowance. I don't really want to leave o2 but f*ck me if there's far better deals available I guess it's...
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
That's true for you, as you've already stated you require that data allowance. I've just gone to mobile usage on my phone and it's at 1.9GB, but unsure when that's from as it's never been reset.
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
Yeah, £10pm simplicity with o2 is enough for me. Unlimited texts does the job, and I can simply top up £15 or £20 a month if needbe, as £10 is purely the minimum amount to activate the free texts/calls/web.
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
Surely you could also use that logic to buy the phone outright and sell it in 12 months and get circa £500 back in your pocket?
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
Yeah, like I say, all subjective. It probably depends on location too. My mate had so many problems - I'd be on 4 bars of reception, he'd be on none etc.
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
My mate is on 3 and it's f*cking garbage and I personally wouldn't bother with T-Mobile.
Saying that, it's only a service provider so you pays your moneys.
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
I'm sticking with o2 but on PAYG. 4G doesn't bother me as of now, and I have no problems picking up a Nano card in store when I get back off my holidays, or even on the 21st.
I've been with them since I switched from Vodafone many years ago...
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
Right, so I order sim free 32GB in a colour I'm undecided about, and it'll come with no sim so I can then order a nano from o2 when I get back, then transfer my number over to it?
Right?
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
So if I come back from holiday in first week of October and go in an o2 shop, they probably won't have any in?
