I agree about the lambda sensor possibly being the problem. Around town I get low to mid 30's. But on a long drive i have managed up to 42mpg. Depends how heavy my right foot is and how much of a rush I'm in!!

nothing i've ever heard. the sub will only drive what the amp puts through it! Only thing i can think of is the earthing, but the chances of that being a problem are tiny!

I have a kenwood head unit in my 172, but for some reason it won't go back far enough and sit in the cradle. Its only a normal depth head unit, fitted it to 2 other cars, but won't fit in this one. any ideas?

How old is the Alternator? It could be that it was just nackered and worn out! Shouldn't damage it though. Think i'd give it a try with the new one on!

Kinda depends on the power of the amp. There shouldn't be a problem. I've amped loads of cars and have never had a problem! I asume you have you taken the wires straight from the battery?

I did the back a few months ago and was just waiting for the new fronts to arrive! but I managed to pickup a screw in the tire wall of one of the back tires.. not amused!! Those big tires stood up on their own! They didn't go near the paint work, and I have a new bumper on the way from the run...
