Fair play for taking it on the chin. I did similar with a bumper repair once, looked s**t... the colour was off.
Unless you're really bothered about having an absolute mint car I wouldn't bother mate, save the money and see if you still think it's worth repairing when you come to sell it...
Thanks everyone, should be ordering parts tomorrow. I've been told my rod ends are fine so only the inners need replacing... any idea on a rough labour cost?
Hi I need to get some inner rod track arms, have been told about the fact there's two different types. Now my car was in the garage getting tracking done today so I told my mechanic to write down which type mine is for me from the rack, he says he couldn't find it anywhere! Said there was a mark...
Maccy did this sort your cruise as well? I have adjusted the brake pedal and in general it seems to be working without the lights coming on now... however, my cruise and limiter still aren't working!
Going around the roundabout at the end of the A127 (Southend end) going towards Rochford  I was at the traffic lights waiting in my Titanium 182...
Okay, thank you for your help. So it could be the wiring after (or before, depending on how you look at it) the brake switch... is there anything worth checking myself? I don't mind if it's time consuming or whatever as obviously this isn't a major problem, in that it's not stopping me from...
Okay well yes iirc the old one had a small gap, probably about the 1mm mark as stated. The new one however, doesn't seem to have a gap at all really... what does this mean exactly? Something there need adjusting I take it.
Okay so... after you guys telling me it was the brake switch, and having it confirmed via diagnostics, I ordered a new one.
It's on now.
It's changed nothing...
Don't understand, what can I try next!? CC & SL still not working either btw.
Okay... basically it's the new bulb the bloody garage put in. Took it out and problem went, tried both sides just to make sure.
But the bulb is exactly the same as the one that is working, dual filament and same wattage and voltage. Any ideas why it may not be working? I shall have to pop to...
Okay so... took every single rear bulb out, checked, they were all good. Put them back and strangely enough my 'constant' brake lights problem has now gone, but the interior ones coming on is still there.
Got a new brake switch today, installed and it hasn't done anything. So I need further...
Okay thought I'd try a 'reset' on the old brake switch just in case... and jeez it's made it worse! Now my brake lights are on constantly, regardless whether my beams are turned on or off :dapprove:
Yes just to clarify I mean every interior light including heating controls etc. not any warning lights on my dash.
When the service was done I got them to chuck in a new bulb in my rear light as it was out... but been driving around fine until today! :S
Hi I've posted about SERV + ESP + ABS before, but now I'm getting something slightly different. Firstly, the ABS is not coming on for this fault... what happens is when I press my brake pedal, all my internal lights come on! (haven't had a chance to check if they're also coming on outside yet)...
