I'm trying to get w3eeb to stick a BrownBearRacing sticker on the FIndia car when no-ones looking. Could be a jinx, hate to see all their clutches explode.
Try and get a shot in one if you can. The 18's sharpen up the front end, and the ride doesn't suffer. They are a b**ch for corrosion and bubbling though.
The Golf GTi is not boring. Easy to fall into that trap as it's so refined. But it's also very capable and entertaining once let off the leash. I'd rather drive on down a b-road than any 197.
No-one's said it won't be good on track. In fact, my point was that it would be good, but not as good as a dedicated track ****.
But there are issues like warranty and insurance to consider. I'm normally quoted £50+ per track day for me cheap 172. Which is why I don't bother, I would of paid...
Depends what you're after fella. If funds allow, a dedicated track setup will be miles ahead. Also depends how much you rely on the daily driver. I've probably been without mine for 4 weeks over a 18month period due to issues on track. There's also the issue of warranty with a new car, and...
