100% agree.
It would have to have evidence of work done, receipts or otherwise no sale. Not to mention the general common sense involved when checking it out. I'd love to get one off ASM or Co-part and repair it myself though!
Gorgeous mate and I think insurance on these pre facelifts for me being 20 is around £2.8k mark. We already have a W204 diesel pre-face lift so face lift would be a change of scenery.
I noticed with cars like the early E92 M3 Manual they are hovering around £16k mark and because of the E46 they wont drastically drop to £13k just yet. So that particular car would fit the criteria.
I didn't want to be to specific. Mainly to open my mind up to other cars and to here other peoples opinion.
Because I don't have a garage a more track orientated car e.g. aerial or Caterham would not be ideal. I would however try and find storage for it if thats the route.
Something I could...
This is gorgeous!!

Apologies if the question comes across a little idiotic.
But what performance car could you recommend that will not lose more than 5% of its value in 6 months to a year of ownership?
Haven't updated in a while one would assume the cars been sent to the scrappy or one might assume I'd happily driving it around. Neither unfortunately.
Car is still at home and gets a tire rotation and a maintenance wash every now and then.
The plan currently is to rebuild the interior which...
Basically the problem is simple.
> Select reverse
> Lift clutch ever so slighty
> Car and engine violently shakes like its going to stall (revs hardly drop at all),
> Then once you are going quicker than say 2mph it will be fine and reverse like normal.
NOTE:

Afzal Kahn has a wonderful collection of cars. It seems like a good company to work for as people still stick with him. I do agree that some range rovers look bad but some of them are really nice, especially the new wide body defender he has its amazing 100 million times better than the original...
Got one of my favourite quotes put on the plate. There are some errors in the message, font, capital I in 'If' and McRae is spelt without a capital R. I dont really mind though got half my money back.
The rear of the car is a let down currently, as the number plate has become rather faded allowing the adhesive strips to show through. This combined with the random array of Halfords Spec Renault badges doesnt compliment the rear of the car. So...
Got an RS badge and a new rear plate to tidy up...
Don't over look tyres! The difference in tyre means you can take corners 20mph quicker than you would on budgets. (Of course if within the speed limit ;) )
Deffo 15mm or 20mm spacers. Makes a huge difference to the stance of the vehicle. K&N panel filter (reusable and makes a nicer sound on top end).
Silvertec Bulbs for indicators.
Also a useful mod is to spend £129.99 on a brembo break setup. Believe me once you get use to uprated pads, standard...
Well it seems okay but when you start getting into the phones like the 7+ 256gb the figures quickly increase to £600 for the year. Then by the looks of it you trade it in for credit off your new phone. I personally buy them out right unlocked and have a separate sim only contract (sell the...
Well the accelerator is not cable driven so works off varying resistance to determine position. I dont think that is your in take throttle body at fault possibly your accelerator pedal. Not 100% sure but most likely something to do with the pedal itself.
When I done mine the ball aches was separating the exhaust manifold from the CAT. Just prepare for some PITA bolts.
Took a couple of days, simply due to daylight, parts arriving, stripped bolts, fluids, and I did my steering rack so spent half a day with a dropped subframe. I am curious when...
