Clios died again and this time it won’t start at all. It always chooses to die away from the house too which is helpful.
Was coughing and spluttering when I drove it, back firing and jerking so ordered some new plugs and second hand leads and coil pack. Went to drive home and it wouldn’t start...
I’ll be there again this year. Just checked my shifts and it actually falls on my days off this time. Might even still have the cup to do a track session too.
Do ph1 have the same immobiliser as the ph2? Have this issue on my cup sometimes. I just hold the interior door lock button down for 5 seconds and it resets and starts.
I know you like ford but you can’t sugar coat this. It’s a massive f**k up and shouldn’t happen.
That excuse is like spray painting an old school c**k on balls on the PE block and getting caught and then saying ‘little Jonny from year 6 did the pubes and the jizz though miss’.
It’s like the 2.5 Impreza sti engine that were proned to headgasket issues. You can now pick these up for a lot less than the older 2 litre ones despite Subaru fixing the problem on the later cars.
IMO it’s not just the inconvenience of having the fix - it’s the concern that it would happen...

In this day and age to not detect an issue like this is pretty poor though. It’s good they’re sorting it but it’s a joke it’s happening in the first place.
