I suspect I am a little bit biased, but I can't see how anyone could look at these, and then think, "Yep, I'd rather have the Clio." ?

I never took mine on track as I'm a pussy and couldn't afford to stuff it lol. So long as it has decent rubber and decent pads/fluid, I think it should be fine though.
Definitely recommend a middle silencer delete though. Not really any louder than standard when driving normally but, when...
Even after a few trips to the 'ring, it f**king staggers me how fast some of them go round there. The Megane is a real weapon with a few tweaks.
Once lowered, they just look so right.
That is awful lol.
The real deal is a work of art though. The engine is so low that, from about 10 feet away, it looks like it is missing. Stunning machines.
This should solve your problem and isn't very expensive: https://www.cliosport.net/threads/the-fattys-ktec-alternative-induction-setup-that-works-just-as-well.761531/page-38#post-11620352
Having driven a Clio 200 and spent a year with a Golf R DSG, the 'box in the 200 leaves a lot to be desired in my view. I know it has it's fans but, in my experience, it certainly isn't the best out there.
Clutch etc on the Megane is fine, perfectly acceptable for every day use. Only 'weak' point is the ride, as it's fairly stiff, but that's very subjective. Best bet is to try both for yourself and see which you prefer.
They are both very good cars in reality, it just comes down to preference...
In reality, the Clio is probably slightly easier to live with on the road, thanks to the auto box and slightly less aggressive set up. I did 16k in a year in my Megane without any problems though. It's a bit stiffer but, for a hatchback, it feels pretty special. The Clio feels competent but a...
I think the driving position in the 197/200 is better than the 1*2 (not hard!) and the controls do feel a bit 'nicer' somehow. It certainly feels like a more grown-up, sure-footed car, which I think is partly down to the size of it. The trade-off is that it doesn't feel quite so urgent and you...
Definitely agree with this. Opinion on different brands and products varies wildly depending on who you speak to.
A lot of people on here slate Gaz but, when chatting to Mark Fish, he said they are ok. It can be difficult to make sense of it all.
Never saw the Jag in the metal, looks blinkin' mint in the pics though. The Lexus should last forever I would think. Come on, spill the beans, what's the plans?!
Love the phone by the way ?
Or buy this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Clio-Sport-172-and-182-Induction-Silicone-Hose-Kit/152585261460?hash=item2386ca5194:m:mojIqVWCLNHmFlWe4f0Ulpg
The Fatty kit looks better than the Ktec one in my view. The long bendy silicone hose just looks really ungainly and unprofessional I...
It's a good choice to be honest. The Megane will offer greater thrills, but the Golf will be 90% as fun while being 10x better at the daily stuff. The Civic is just outclassed in this company in my view. A nice car, but ragging the pants off it to get it to move is precisely the opposite of what...
I would think they're fine. Just buy a good one and make sure you get some rust protection on it. There are plenty out there to choose from, so should be possible to buy a solid one, surely?
As a daily, it would probably be my top choice to be honest. Not as exciting as the Ford or the Renault...
For those looking in the £7-8k category, a Meg 250 is surely going to be the car to have in the coming years. Not too many in that price bracket yet, but getting there now. Quality is a big step-up from the MK2 and a brilliant drive. As standard, the Megane doesn't sound great, but a mid box...
Those Seats are good value, but god are they ugly. The A4 of that era is a nice looking car, but the Seat is a disaster. It totally put me off them.
A friend of mine has a 130i. It's quite nice to be honest. Not very big inside at all, but it feels quite quirky with the big engine and RWD...
