If I had wanted "scary Fast" I would have bought a TVR, its between a WRX and an Sti, has the same power to weight as a 2005 sti with 40nm less torque, so slow it aint.......its still remains the FASTEST std clio ever made. Simon

std 182 is slower than V6 255 to 60, 100 and top speed, there is NO comparison....... Simon

We ain't talking about turbo'd clio's thuogh are we.....my old Renualt 5 GTT was faster than my V6, bacause it had been highly modded to give it 230bhp per tonne.....still prefer my Vee though and we can always mod if we wish too ;) std for std for comparisons please..... :) Simon

all speedo's over read, try stopping the clock at 63-64mph, will give you a closer reading to real 60.

These are NOT true speeds though, people often make the mistake that car speedo's are very accurate, when in fact they are NOT ;) :) 120 will not be EASY as you state for a car with only 85bhp per tonne :) Simon

The Renault web site gives the specs for the 1.4 new clio as: 0-62mph (0-100kph) 11.3 Maximum Speed - mph (kph) 114 (183)

Still if Evo's are SO good why have you had a CLIO for 2 years now??? I know EVO's are very fast cars mate, I never I said otherwise, I just Hate the way they look, the Evo X looks no better they are not for me..... You should ask MikeT about how good the V6 with 400bhp is...he should know...

why would you sell your evo for a clio then if evo's are so good? Also the v6 255 takes quite a bit of getting used to compared to an AWD or FWD...... But I do agree it needs more power, which is what I will do to mine in time :) Simon

good job as there are only 300 cars in the UK.....we wouldn't want everyone drivin round in one, like they do in EVO's. Seems like every other car on the road were I live is a Jap turbo car, I crave something different thanks :) Simon

Yeah that does look a lot better than the Lancer Evo FQ330's..... Don't bet on what I will buy though mate, you may loose.... ;) Still I'm happy with my V6 255 for now thanks. Simon
