You can't do the rear panel Mark, that'll look bodge as f**k, spray some clear corr protection over it. BiltHamber do one. UC I think is the code. Spraying it black will make it look like accident damage.
Chris bare in mind you can push to have the car repaired. Will the claim eventually be claimed back off the 3rd party? Or are you actually going through the 3rd party?
Danny my one was on 115k, they literally have no common issues barring maybe a split intake breather pipe, can cause high revs, easy fix. I wouldn't hesitate in owning one again. Returned 50mpg on a run from Glasgow to Edinburgh one day.
Every option at the time barring full leather and a sunroof. The satnav stereo etc was a 1k option.
Was a great car but it was worth twice what I paid for it. Yes i'm still kicking myself.
An exhaust system is a must, added so much character to my one, as did the eibachs. All it needed was some better tyres and at a push some 16s. Great cars and miss it way more than I miss my Trophy.
Well you see I always bring it down to one point. Why would my garage spend 80k on a paint booth if we could paint a car perfectly well in a tent, outside, in the climate.
I want to know what shocking garage is doing bonnets for £85 and bumpers for £70!
Oh and if you do use chips away do 2 things. Put away another £200 to fix it or say goodbye to a few hundred quid come sale time.
A very very trusted detailer has been using Bilt Hamber autfoam (iirc) via a pump sprayer to great effect, ie it shocked even me. Think it's much cheaper and dilutable.
