I caved in towards the end of last year and ordered the Series X, finally turned up yesterday. Should have took advice from here and not bought the Series S. Amazed at the difference between the two. 100% the case of ask CS for advice, ignore and regret :)

Took a while to get the controls setup, not sure on the braking yet, can't really tell when locking up or not, FFB seems very light but might be settings. did a few laps of Laguna Seca in the Arbarth. Then tried a race and AI were a puntfest, driving into walls, just smashing into you etc...

Good shout, got the bono t strap as well, didn’t think of that. Vents seem to be open, few little bits covered for strength but nothing mental. Might give it a go, cheap enough and get the case with it.

Maybe as there was a few AI cars in the race, maybe didn’t have enough people to fill it on ability. Switched off abs recently which has been a game changer, stops the just stamp on the pedal let abs sort it out, so much more enjoyable

Is multiplayer broken? I thought it was meant to match on ability? I did two races today and was up to 10 seconds slower a lap against some others.

Yeah, that is mostly what I used mine for, blasting laps on AC but found for the short time I actually get to play, odd hour sessions it wasn’t worth the 10 minutes setup to get it working. Agree it is awesome though, it’s the depth being able to see the apex that got me.

It is a novelty. Glad I never paid for mine, gets a few uses by the kids and every now and then I have a round of mini golf. Sometimes hook it up to the Sim Rig but more hassle when I want to just jump right in and I've now got the 49" ultrawide OLED for that.

How do the springs work in the brake pedal? At the moment I have it setup like this with two of the softest springs but I find the ABS is triggering to easy. If I swap out one of the springs does it make a difference if I put it at the top or the bottom? In my mind it will make no difference...
