currently driving about like this as 2 months later KTEC haven't been able to sort out the missing tailpipe trims yet - Nightmare
Its had an ABS light, a rear wheel with no speed reading, replaced the sensor, still the same so onto the rear discs it was as assume the bearing pickup is gone...
As above, if I don't know the oil history or its not been great then I change the dephaser, if its good and been done before I wouldn't bother unless its noisy
really need plugged into a diagnostics machine to see what's going on when the boost drops off. Sounds like its probably a boost pressure sensor or detecting a missfire and cutting power.
Had a recent service with sparkplugs to rule them out?
they hold daft cash for a shite banger, ive been looking for a white one with black plastic bumpers for ages as ive got an F4R 830 sitting that would fit straight in!
could get that repaired but for me if your changing it, Akra or nothing! they sound fantastic, can cruise around town and it doesn't really sound any louder than standard if you don't want it to, then when you open it up it just sounds brilliant! Fit and finish is perfect, makes the car for me!
Car on stands, drain box oil, remove both shafts, disconnect ball joints, remove steering rack to subframe mounts, remove lower dogbone mount, remove subframe (4x bolts) you will need to get a ring spanner into the captive nuts as they will just spin.
Support engine, remove battery/air box etc...
Swapped from PS4 to PS5 on my Wife's motor, I thought the steering felt immediately sharper on turn in just at brisk road speeds! maybe a stiffer side wall? I've not driven the car hard to tell any difference other than that but will be swapping my 197 to them when the 4's are worn
A lot less than my mate, i showed him your invoice you posted the other day and he nearly had a heart attack, straight on the phone to arnie clark customer services :ROFLMAO:
yeah generally those ones will just read the engine ECU, and even then they can be a bit of a hit or a miss with what they read, usually handy for diagnosing and clearing basic stuff though, still a handy tool to have in the box!
I have the base model one, its locked to my car in terms of uploading maps but i just needed to flash it once anyway!
it does OBD diagnostics on all of my other cars (all Renault - not sure if it works on others?)
I've added the ABS module Clio 2 and the Clio 3 one too so I can do abs...
Sunroof has been leaking on my RSI, i had removed it, ran a nice tidy bead of sealant where the original seal was, didn't work so I've choose to just keep it out the rain for now :ROFLMAO:
But now the one has started leaking on my daily smoker, this was not getting messed about with, full...
if the battery is confirmed good and no earth issues its likely the motor at fault, as above the rack has its own control module so get the codes read.
EDIT: that above is assuming its a mk3 Clio which a 2008 could be either a mk2 or a mk3, if its a mk2 its likely the motor on its way out!
yeah so the issue I came across was, after dropping off a pupil my mum was jumping over to the drivers seat as she's tiny, just must have caught the stalk and flicked it onto full beam, not noticing as it was day time, get back to the house, into the driveway, stop, handbrake on, stop start...
