Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Thanks Andy :)
Haha yes thank you! I suppose with a car like this it will always be full of highs and lows and i'm certainly used to the lows :)
Do you mean the square one on the black car or the circular...
Am I the only person who thinks modern audi's look really nice inside and as someone above said comfy but then get in them and are disappointed? I drive an A1 sometimes and think the inside really isn't a nice place to be :(
Wow you have bumped an old thread lol :)! What make of bearing did you fit? My guess is you have missed the spacer out which goes between the disc and the hub?
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Haha it was discussed at 3.45am the day before the race and then we both totally forgot to sort it out lol!
Thanks Andy :) Haha what can I say lol!
My calculations last year were I could save 60kg's from what I have got as some of mine is already chopped! Still for a lardy car like mine would be good but will have to see if I can justify the cost. I don't think it's an issue for me until I maximise everything else on the car
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Hahaaaa pmsl mate! I still love the fact Zoltan said that :)
Cracked me up!
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
I was going to say of course there will be but seen as how I'm going straight from the Oulton race down to the ferry I would have totally forgotten lol :) Will add it to my packing list!
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Thanks Mark yes it was good fun :)
It has given me some confidence and along with basic tweaks that I know need to be done it should be flying along!
I'm looking forward to Oulton should be fun
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Sorry I don't want to sit here and ignore people but equally I don't want to keep discussing TDF! For my car TDF are in the past and that will never change so I have no desire to be sat here talking/slating...
I am planning on testing my current setup (AST 2's) with the varying levels of adjustment on the RARB. I will be getting a feel for it but it will also be backed up with some simple lap/sector time data. At the moment I am struggling with low speed turn in and understeer and think the arb will...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Yeah haha!
Ahh okay yeah I only heard they aren't that accurate for stuff like tyres but apart from that I dont really know about them :)
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
I'm not sure how accurate they are but you have just given me a great idea Phil! I'm searching the house for a temp gauge and you have made me realise that my tyre temp gauge will do the job :)
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Jay the coolant temp at the entry to the pitstop was 102.9 degree's and by Craners on the out lap it was back upto 109 then kept climbing at 3-4 degree's a lap until the datalogger can't go any higher
I'm...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
I was going to say when I saw the log book a few months ago it used to work :(
Not bothered with the EC stuff and just use the SC software :)
You have got a point there Dan, No it doesn't wipe it when the...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Thanks for that mate really helpful! I think it's now a sensor/dash issue but it's still running hot but not as hot as first thought so will see how I sort it :) Thanks again
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Haha okay well i'm trying to avoid ruining a pan and think I might be getting somewhere with the ECU!
Does anybody have experience with the SC/TDF ECU software? It says my total engine running time is...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
The sensor, the oil or the water lol? (Serious question :))
Don't have one :( I don't mind using a normal pan though
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
lol
Now thats the best idea i've heard in a long time lol!
I didn't think water will get to that temp?
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Yes Dan on the ECU I have found "Coolant temp filter coefficient" which is set to 0.0156863
It's showing pretty accurate for the boiled kettle! How I could I test it at say 120 degree's? How are this sensors...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
I didn't even realise that is possible mate! I've just taken it out of the housing and its reading 27 degree's i'm sure my garage isn't 27 degrees lol
Shall I try the boil a kettle approach?
Thanks
Ooo...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Yeah coolant temp 134 :(! I know I was amazed it was still going lol
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Haha you want to finance that at 10p a month ;)
Thank you very much :)
Yes the car has got bags of potential now and can't wait to see what happens at Oulton
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Haha lol :) I trust him too!
lol :)
Yeah I know it is Chip but I can't afford to be changing the engine :( No money left to keep spending on bits breaking :(
