Great video Mark and awesome driving :) Your car certainly looks as quick in car as it did from the outside! It looks great to drive too although I can see what you mean about the danger its really narrow even at the top of the circuit
Mike you bugger lol! I just came on the forum to get the guys details and contact him :( I'm gutted now although fair play for moving fast! Hope it's an easy fix :)

Certainly is :)
Sorry for the confusion mate, No the one's I ordered were part number 628745120 but then when I got there they told me they were for drums and instead gave me an SKF box that had the correct...

Sorry mate i'm not too sure as I apparently ordered the one's for rear drums lol! Also don't have the box although they came in an SKF box but were SNR bearings
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Thanks Jonny, yes i'm hoping so and I'm pretty confident we will :)
They really are such a pain! Mine must get really hot as they weld themselves onto the stub axle and the bearing into the disc, took nearly...

Sounds good Phil :) Gosh that day at Donington is cheap! Will probably do that as my last one of the year aswell seen as how I doubt i'm going to race there.
Very nice yes it can take ages can't it to get...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Thanks Mike, Yes I certainly haven't taken the decision likely but if I continued racing it would never improve so hopefully I have calculated everything right and should be better for one last race at the end...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Thanks Chip, its taken me long enough to make my mind up lol!
Yeah sorry Phil I was really looking forward to Mallory and especially Donington as it's my favourite circuit but I think it's for the best and...

Bit of an update:
Unfortunately I have had to work out the best way forwards with the car from Anglesey. There is only a limited pot of money for the car and this will cover either the racing or working on...
You're getting decent heat into the tyres mate :) I'm afraid I'm not all that much of an expert I was just trying to share the couple of bit's I have learnt along the way. I have a lunch date with my suspension guru tomorrow although you would understand a lot more of what he says than I do lol...
If you are getting the heat into the rear tyre's (Especially the dunlops) then you will want to have the rear rate's nearly equal the front's. Are you taking into account the rear spring being inboard which alters the effective spring rate?
The ARB's are something that I am getting sorted in...
Thanks Mark :) Can't wait to see the video so fingers crossed it worked lol!
Great write up and can't wait to see how you do in the rest of the season.
Ps I told you not to say no when I asked if you had wheel bearing issue's :p
Was great to meet you the other day Mark and thank you very much for having me for the day :) Was also great to meet Darren and your team! Wish I could of been there yesterday too as it would of been great to see you win!
You should be so proud of the car and all the work you have done to it! I...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Just checked mine and mine wore very well on the rears at Anglesey so maybe should of checked that before I removed them lol :o
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
I'm sure you do Mark :p I thought about taking my ARB off tonight but I have left it on although dis-connected so I can play around with it if needs be! I have taken the camber shims out though so now back to...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Yeah it is all really odd, a few people I have spoken with have suggested it's because of how soft the suspension is so it's always really loading them up. As Mark say's though it could be down to the 172...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Both rear wheel bearing gone again :S Managed to find the SNR bearings (Same used on gen disc's) for £40 a pair so going to buy a couple of sets and a press and do them myself! They need changing everytime the...
Haha yes that is very true! I have just got out from under my car found even more things that need changing lol!
Honestly Mark let me know if I can help in anyway! You can have my engine for the weekend if you need it lol!
Haha you can extend the wheel but it's a lot of work unless you just use the spacers but they are only ideal for 50mm ish
Yeah £1k rings a bell I only threw the paperwork away the other day otherwise I would dig it out :dapprove:
Can't help too much i'm afraid mate but I did look into it before I built mine, the only real workable option was to bulkhead mount and fabricate a hood coming out of the bulkhead and fix to this. Mounting to the floor means your legs are too cramped and if you move the seat back then the...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Haha I appreciate the research and development mate ;)
No not yet I doubt I will, nearly killed myself with the dremel doing the front lol!
Oooo sounds exciting :D
