Pictures look great mate :) I used to have a R27 and used it often on track and it was awesome!
Absolute minefield in my opinion if you fit full slicks to the 200 you will be forever chasing issues such as uprated bushes, increased wear on lot's of parts and don't forget that most trackday...
Just found this while I was searching the internet for cheap r888's and thought it may be of use to some people. From what I hear they are supposed to be a pretty good track tyre so at £55 each for 15's you can't go wrong! Hope it helps :)

They do sell them separately yes and I think the one for my R27 was just shy of £200 when it got buckled. If you become a full member on here you will get access to the traders section and contact West's Renault they do discount for full members and have great service :)

Exactly Tony still couldn't believe after all that we had done that something so simple worked so effectively! Well chuffed!
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Yeah it does doesn't it Stu! Glad we have managed to don it and keep it standard ish!
Thanks mate it was a good buy! Haha hows the car going? Has Matt had chance to start it yet ;)?
I hope so ;) You have...
Read through this whole thread and I can't believe I haven't seen it before! I knew that you were building a car for CSCC but didn't realise you had a thread for it :) It was a really interesting read from start to finish! The car look's great and I love everything you have done. Interesting how...
Ahh yes they are good at Lessian, I know a couple of people that have paint done there and it has come out really well so glad to hear another positive review of them :) I will keep my eye's peeled for the car when I'm driving around!

Another very minor update:
Got my ARDS booked for the 27th March and also got the 3rd April at Brands with my instructor for the day. I was hoping to do two days at Brands before the first race as I have...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Will do mate as said the earliest it will be is mid May after the first race :)
Sounds like a great result Mark :) I think my biggest fear for getting it done would be that it was still drivable on the roads so if it can manage that then on track I think you will love it! I'm glad to hear its drivable as I need to scrub in a new set of tyres next weekend on mine so I now...

Hi Phil, It really is a great track! As Colin says it is on the 11th March, it looks to be a really quiet day which should be good :) You should come up!
Colin knows all the answers today :) Yes it's boot...

Very Small Update
Got Anglesey all booked up yesterday so really looking forward to getting up there! Will be another good opportunity to get some decent miles on the car. Only 14 people booked so far on the...
Just dug out the email from my last booking and it was £91 for 4 days with Sixt for a Fiesta so it sounds like you have found a decent deal and the one Jay mentioned sounds a bargain :) Have fun!
I normally just use the hire car comparison sites and then read through the wording to see which company will be supplying to check its a fairly major company and go with that. I'm afraid I can't remember what I paid last time I was down that way :(
As Jay say's check the hire car when moving from country to country I have had to pay the hire car company a fee for the required paperwork to cross borders etc. Last time I had to do it was with europcar and I think they charged an extra €3 a day so it's not the end of the world but they...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
I know it was a beauty :) Had black wheels and a black reg plate!
Haha I know I know :rasp: Got faster as the day went on just don't have any video's ;)
Yeah I'm sure it'll be fine, Not tempted to get a diff in while its out? ;) Was it the same box that was in it when it was supercharged? I remember seeing it at Pauls years ago!
Yeah I'm good thanks mate :) I am looking forward to seeing it at some point soon! Yes they turned mine round quickly and as you mention above they just charge for what it needs so mine came out pretty cheap as they didn't need to change much!
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
From memory I think it was black Jonny, in fact just found a photo of it on my photo bucket
It was going pretty well and the owner wasn't afraid to give it the beans :)

Thanks mate, Yeah it is a great circuit probably my favourite although I'm pretty rusty round it atm but looking forward to getting back into it! Haha it does seem to of been popular even if i'm not 100% lol...
Sounds great Lewis, the car looks like its doing really well! You must be over the moon with it! Shame about the gearbox :( Is Matt sending it off to CTS? They did my box and did a very good job! Hope your well :)
