    Chris, the 50mm f1.8 won't auto focus on your d40 - i think thats why JJ is recommending the sigma

    Most of those were taken between beckitts & chapel is it? corner just before hanger straight. Its a public place, there was quite a few people taking pics there.

    I used auto focus all day, although i made a schoolboy error by setting the focus area to the left of the frame (and forgetting i'd done it) which is why the back of the car is more in focus on a lot of shots.

    Setup was just my D50 and a mixture of the 18-200mm and a sigma 70-300mm APO. I was having problems with the sigma getting sharp results at anything under 1/125th, so switched to the 18-200, which for a "slow" lens, produced pretty reasonable images. I'd love something abit quicker/longer...

    2 & 6 for me, shutter speeds like that give great sense of speed. Well captured!
