As you know mate, blue smoke is caused by the burning of engine oil. The only other thing i can think of is the valve guides are worn, my car has only done 49k but i had to have all 16 of my guides replaced. :(

Joe, not so much for the mechanical side of things dude but the body. A good Jag specialist will know the cars water traps and where they are prone to rust. This way they can treat it/prevent it before the dreaded tin worm sets in. Such a lovely car, i do hope you get it out for some nice...

Good to see that you are looking after the old girl mate. It needs to be wax oiled Joe, the Jag needs to go to a specialist who knows these cars. Id of love to have been driving it today with the roof down and the summer sun shining on my bald head. :cool:

ECP do some very good break cleaner in a can. De-greases very well mate.

De-grease and re-loctite.
