How was it? It'd defo be the saxo for me, but as has been said, it'd have to look standard. I'd happily have boosted Saxo for a laugh for a few months

    ESP

"A sensor in the steering wheel detects the path selected by the driver. Other sensors in the vehicle measure the actual path. The system compares the path selected by the driver and the actual path and corrects this as necessary by applying the brakes selectively and/or acting on the engine power"

    Best Clay / Clay lube

If by 'done' you mean painted, then it doesn't need claying as there will be nothing on the paintwork for the clay to remove

    Where do I stand?

If it had lost compression it would spin over faster than usual. If its just "dead" then it's gotta be the battery. They don't seem to jump start very well either.

    Where do I stand?

So what was it doing when trying to turn it over? Was it spinning faster than usual? The same but just not firing? Or was it not even turning over?

  26. Ol’ Tarby

Anyone with timing tools that can help pls? Manchester area.

They are floating pulleys on the camshafts and crank. These have to be loosened off in order to remove the belt if I remember correctly. Upon tensioning the belt, it has to be done with the the pulleys still lose. If its not spun round a few times, then the tension isn't even over the whole belt...

Anyone with timing tools that can help pls? Manchester area.

Yes but then the belt has to be spun round a few times with all the pulleys lose to set the tension, and then tighten all the pulleys. I think its that part most people forget to do

    172 cup disappointed bhp

If your due a cambelt change then cams make sense. It would be the RS2 for me though. Buy it for a grand, enjoy 190ish bhp and a flat torque curve for a couple of years. Remove and sell on for the same money you bought it for.
