picked up a D50 (body only) today, looks in mint condition, and the guy has really looked after it - not bad for £160. Only thing i'm not keen on is the smaller screen and the zooming method using the scroll wheel. Its pretty big, and a lot heavier than the D40. The auto focus motor is noisy...

really don't see the point in having a full detailing job like that at this time of year. 1 trip down the motorway and that car will be filth again. Wait till summer and it'll last longer and look far better!

I'll be making a purchase shortly, not sure whether to go for a sigma 10-20mm for my d40, or to sod the lens and upgrade to a D80. Main reason being the lack of auto focus on the d40. Other option is to "downgrade" and get a d50, which will auto focus with my 50mm f1.8 and get the sigma too.....

that could be a proper weapon, its never worth 2k though. The wide kit is proper twank.

i wouldn't go any more than 6000k. Anything else looks too blue and chavy.

d40, sunset pics are manual mode, mg pics are aperture priority i think

its really not that quick, but its got bags of torque. Fit a Synergy 2 box and it'll be good for 160bhp and 310nm

Tow bar will be coming off soon. They're not xenons, just halogen projectors, although you can get them with xenons, think they were a £1000 option I'll take one of the engine bay later.
