I’m afraid you’ll need a standard nut instead of one with the spacer built in to lose the huge gap, or buy Renault top mounts.
If you get something to plug the SSD into the MacBook externally then you can make a backup before putting it inside. They make it much easier than windows.
I put 16gb of crucial RAM in my old MacBook because at the time they were cheapest. It also had a Samsung SSD.
Used it for 5 years with no issues before selling last year.
