Id say a Prospeed. The one i took off of my PH1 was made by them 5 or so years ago, the quality was utter crap.

Cub's right. A few hundred pound repair, we can quite easily turn in 4k + and it always makes sense in our mind's. :D

There is no gasket. To re seal its going to be a cambelt replacment, the cam cover holds the cams in.

Im sure the later D5s are 180 bhp, what should i look out for if going to view a Saab? Are the autos ok or stick to a manual, what engine is best, petrol/diesel? Cheers Scott.

Russ, i fitted an engine into one of these once for a engine builder who bought the car with a fooked crank. The reason was because the oil strainer is so fine it blocks and starves the engine of oil, these engine must have the oil changes done every 6k and with full syn oil. Scott.

Nope, id say its had paint work and the clear coat hasn't taken thats why its flaking off. Nail varnish (clear) brushed on around the edge to seal it.

It needs repainting. Nothing can be done.

I might send my PH1 seats to Edge and see what they can do. I want the foam sorting out in the side bolsters and the stitching is starting to come away on the passenger seat. These where trimmed by them for a member on here, bloody lovely job.
