You sure you need an allen key ? On mine iirc its 2 18mm bolts for the whole caliper and you need a 13 and 17mm spanner to separate the caliper and the brake pad mounting brackets . Personally i'd paint them off the car as it's easier .

There are good local garages and bad local garages ;) So if thats there diagnosis , what is their remedy ? Or don't they know ?? I very much doubt it's your brakes .

^^^ What ?? Everythings bolted to the hub , makes no difference if the wheels are pointing forwards or turned .

If the discs are any good then thats a good price if they are crap then you've wasted your money . Plus you'll need new bearings and abs rings for the rears . Personally i'd rather go with names you can trust that have been tried and tested .

The Renault diamond is located with 4 lugs and , inside the diamond there are 4 tiny little lugs that stop the diamond coming loose .Like clio luke says , you'll have to take the whole mechanism off . Have a look in a haynes manual if your unsure .

I had some squeaking on my 182 . Took back to Renault and they said they tightened up some bolts on the subframe . Anyway , it's gone now :)

I've just rung round a few Renault dealers for my 182's 12k service Cheapest was £195 - no courtesy car available which i need , £202 and £220 . Supplying my own oil only drops the price by £20 .I'd prefer to have it serviced at Renault while it's still under warrenty in case they find any...

Yeah black will be ok . Depends if you want to show your calipers off though through the turinis . Even though the red's lighter it'll still look good on your flame red imo .

Personally i'd just got for red on your car . If you have too many colours going on it will look crap imo

In the Renault service book ( page 14 ) it says 36k miles or 5 years .Show that to the dealer .

The adjuster screw inside the caliper turns , the piston is prevented from turning by the lugs on the brake pad therefore pushing the piston forwards .There are 5 sprung washers inside the caliper pulling the adjuster screw back when you release the handrake .

I use a local motor parts suppliers that mix paint . Always been spot on with the colour match and it's alot cheaper than Halfords as well .

As said . AG engine and machine cleaner . If you don't have any use diluted washing up liquid , then give the car a good wash after .

Sounds like you might have applied it to thick and the paints cured on the top and still soft underneath . I hammerited a vice once and and put it on too thick , it took a good week to go hard . Driving you car " might " help as the heat will help the paint to cure faster . I used hammerite in...
