door cards don't weigh that much, this car is used daily so totally stripping it is a bit OTT, although i can say i didn't really notice it that bad when driving it like it the past few days. the trimming needed to be done to tie it all in, i couldn't have a black dash then blue door cards...

right then, here we go.... thursday it looked like this after stripping nearly all out on thursday and running out of time i re-visited my paints paint shop and set about final prep of the 172, first of all i had to scotch the whole rear which was being painted, and then extra sand...

totally plain with only the reg on is the way to go, not cut down, shortened or chopped, they all look hideous to me.... untidy like they weren't meant to fit

how long you had the TT waitey? i thought you had redeemed yourself when you purchased the 172 but i am ever more concerned for your sexuality now...the MX5 and now the TT wet ross (the sis's new bloke) has 1, i ffs'd at that when it was parked in my space the first time

Re: someph-ing different........... i have an idea.....it will be custom i expect but it won't be for a while, maybe end of 09... the interior will be sorted, then the exterior will be once the new wheels arrive.... so that covers interior and exterior apart from some little extra touches...

Re: someph-ing different........... had today off to work on the car, all the insides are out now, have re-routed the wires / hose going through the back now so they sit behind the rear quarters so that will tidy it up, all the tar has been removed from the rear and its all ready for paint...
