Ye it is a pain to keep clean, you dont even have to drive it for it to get dirty. I washed and machine polished mine last week, its not moved since, and I couldnt believe how filthy it was earlier when I came home from work. Looked mint when I did it though

when i bought my 172 this time last year, i insured it with direct line. i was 24 with 0ncb as have always been a named driver since i passed at 17 (biggest mistake ive ever made!). i paid 960 quid. my renewal came thru last week at 1590!! bearing in mind i've now turned 25 and have a years ncb...

matched inlets/decat/exhaust/JMS airbox then remap, bout as far as ya can go without spendin loadsa money

on a flat road ye, it takes away the urge to accelerate etc. but goin up and down hill it would keep a constant throttle posistion uphill which would lower mpg, where if driving manually econonmically you would ease off upthe hill thus increasing mpg :)

i think its been proven that using cruise control is actually worse for MPG than not using it

and £199 seems pretty cheap for a proper custom live map?

i got caught on saturday. goin from a 40 into a 60, van was sat by the 60 sign. i accelerated into the 60 rather than waitin until after the change in limit, completely oblivious to the bright yellow van till after i'd gone past lol

had mine done last saturday, only thing it came back with were worn front discs and a washer jet squirting the wrong way

you've got the upper gearbox mount which is under the battery and the dogbone mount which is under the engine at the back. i think thats the one thats most common to cause knocking when worn

knocking/banging will be a worn engine mount mate

is the overrun file available direct from fastchip now to upload using the RStuner? I thought i read it was only available from JMS, but that may of been an old thread i was reading? also can you have the overrun map, aswell as the launch control one?
