People who cant maintain speed piss me off! Hate overtaking someone on a motorway or daul carriageway, for them to come back past you two miles down the road, and then a further two miles down the road your having to move over to overtake them again. Often this repeats two or three times...

Always loved your 172 Chris, someone will be getting a good one! Theres a LY R26 at the dealer down the road from me, think its up for 8999. Not sure if thats a good price or not as Ive never looked into R26s And if you fancy straying from renault, but still fancy booooost, then my MPS is up...

They are good cars mate, but if you think the low down torque is 'jawdropping' them you must of come from something really slow? Hehe

Best bang for buck mod IMO, especially if bought second hand. Plus is great for data logging and fault finding etc.

Spend a bit more and get an old RS Tuner?

No disrespect to Henk, or DanielG, but surely you can't produce the best map possible for the car without actually being with the car on a rolling road seeing what is going on in realtime?

Yes but, if the second hand one fails, then it's a new belt job so gonna cost 600 quid with a new dephaser Luck of the draw though really. There could be nothing wrong with the 2nd hand one

Got rid of my 172 and bought my Mazda 3 MPS, which is runnin around 300bhp now. I'm currently returning it back to standard to sell and am tempted to buy a ph1 to cam/throttle body. I miss my 172 so much!! No one else understands what such a good car they are. So, no, it's not wrong to want...

re-circ valve + open filter sounds a lot better than a vent to atmosphere dump valve
