Tom, is the clamp fitted like this? I can't for the life of me see how the box is twisting in the clamp. If it is then you need to pack it out some how. Rubber strip or strips of foam? I that that tape will get hot and allow the box to move about even more.

How can you be gutted going from a 1.2 to a ph1 172??? Have the belts been done? If its a old dog it will soon become a very expensive ph1.

Tom don't use house hold silicone as it makes the joint slip which allows the rear box to twist. Its sounding like the exhaust band is to big but I can't see how. Post some pictures tom.

Yes mate it will get done. It will be one of those jobs I can do in the summer months as I have a spare wheel that I can send away. Don't see the point in getting it done now as it will only sit there doing nothing. :( I have enough expense at the moment with coilovers and the head/cam work. :)

2 screws on the fog light surround then the complete unit comes out. Bulb change in 2 mins mate.

Thanks Daniel, im sure its going to be the last one. Passenger side is dry as a bone, under the scuttle panel is clean as ive had them off a few times because the sliver birch tree next door drops its s**t everywhere so always make sure the drains are free. I had it jacked up for a few days...
