Lack of dedication.

ECU (brain of the vehicle) - basically finely tunes the brain of the vehicle which controls the engine if you like for more specific values, whether that be reducing flat spots, creating more power or better mpg etc. It's a more 'honed-optimised' brain for your car.

Depending what exactly is wrong with it, I'd imagine it may be cheaper to get one from a breakers or ebay etc.

/\ renault will tell you theres nothing wrong with the boxes. They lie, the syncro's aren't great to be honest, but despite the amount of issues, they still say "no they're fine". I've done 17k in my 200 and it's fine (touch wood). But there's been a lot of stories of this nature.

I was told by R-Uk theres not many pearl whites specced like mine about, think theres 30 ish pearls about but hardly any with recaros, cup spoilers, cup packs and speedlines etc.

Would rather drive round with "I'm a C*nt" written on my car tbh.
