Thought it was an excellent day, nice variety of traders, fantastic raffle prizes and good banter.
Camping at the venue would be good as I feel I missed out not making a weekend of it.

Everything is fairly simple but some things in the engine bay can be a b**ch to get to. You need specialist tools to do the cambelt so only let someone who has changed lots of Clio 172 cambelts touch it.
Main things to look out for are that it has been serviced regualrly and that belts have been changed at 72k or 5 years as this costs £400+ to do.
Have a look at Revel's thread as he's gone from a 106 GTi to a Ph1 172...
I don't think this would work well as a weekend meet. No excuse for not coming though, you bought an M3 to go to a trackday so you can drive 45 minutes for a meet ;)

Good thread keeping track of the costs. Think I spent £14k (bought for £6k) on my 172 excluding tax and insurance in 3.5 years.
Great day, excellent value, very well organised, and everyone was a credit to the Club (except the couple of dickheads booting it the wrong way up the entrance road).
Also I liked that the trade stands all had things you'd want to buy.
Looking forward to next years event :D
Portsdown Hill and Micks Monster Burgers are always popular so as promised the next meet is Portsdown Hill on Wednesday 17th August at 7.30pm. :) Hopefully with this meet being in Summer for once we'll get a warm evening, last two meets have had strong winds or snow LOL
