i can put up with worse seats and a few less toys for a much better engine.
ive driven both pretty extensively, and the K4M doesnt cut it with that little torque in a big car, i found it gutless down a backroad unless giving it a full 100% which isnt what you want when your not totally in the...

id personally rather have a DCi 106 Dynamique S over a 1.6 16v GT. you will get one no problem for that budget they are starting about 4k mark now for a higher milage one.
later ones with the different wheels come with half leather, bit nicer dash, white dials and most have keyless entry. look...
mine were done after 40k on my old ph2 172, i changed everything bar them trying to cure the play, as i never knew they had a joint on them, felt brand new once i had changed them
i cant remember the exact location of the sticker but i remember seeing it on mine when i had to find it, was pretty easy to see lol!! not much use that!!
needs to be renault for the dampers to get the proper ones. before you start spending money on ARB's etc check the parts i listed above too, best money i ever spent was refreshing all mine.
the spacers must be there, i cost arnold clark a fortune fixing a car i bought from them when they didnt fit one of the spacers on one side doing rear discs, ended up getting new discs, pads, stub axel, wheel bolts as it destroyed them!
as for the original image, pull the caliper carrier...
ive always used John at ProGrip for my servicing on cars i cared about the stamp and for my alignment, so hes the one guy i can trust to take it apart and put it back together properly!
its going to ProGrip larbert who done the initial alignment check on it and found out it was screwed!! will be getting 2 new front tyres on AC too as the car has ate the inside edges of them!
arnold clark have now offered to have it taken to a specialist of my choice to be put right and they will pay the bill. seriously interested in this option if it means getting to keep my albi blue!
yeah mate the 200 is awesome, ive just had that much bother with it i want it gone, its going in next week to get put right by my local specialist and arnold clark are paying the bill so will see how i feel after that, but i recon after a few months ill possibly swap it. car just feels tainted...
needs to be the DCi106, the 128 is no quicker overall and the 106 is much quicker around town, no need to have it over 3k rpm
shouldnt have swapped my GT 106 for my 200!!
i bought one for GT what ever number its on now 5? and it turned out to be w**k (im sure thats been covered to death on here) so its still sitting under my TV after being used for 6 hours to "install" GT and 10 minutes playing it. was going to use it as a blueray player but its far far to loud...
RCI were dealing with the dealership today and were under strict orders to phone me with an update and some serious progress tomorrow or they can come and collect their car as i was canceling the direct debits. so will see what happens. chances of them actually giving a f**k and phoning me are...
i like the standard setup so my £400+ would be going on cup dampers all round, eibach sportlines, top mounts, track rod ends, track rods, bottom arms and a geometry setup.
but most would probably spunk the full £600 on coilovers and throw them on.
cup suspension wont really give you any less roll over the normal 172 setup, slightly less possibly. however its worth going cup setup if your going brand new genuine as its the same price.
stick a set of ebc green stuff pads on it to save your wheels getting black, thats what i used to use on my dci100 to keep the wheels clean! pads are no worse or better than standard but loads less dust.
do the engine cover the same colour of purple would be cool. i contacted that N2graphix to...
engine failed under warranty new engine was replaced under warranty so i think as far as thats concerned the failure is fixed, however its the workmanship thats now the issue.
not saw a solicitor yet, i dont even know what sort of costs would be involved with that?
so far we have the following...
legally yes im entitled to have it repaired, however arnold clark are physically unable to repair it properly in my eyes, they have atempted and failed massively. and they want attempt after attempt to put it right
RUK are not interested, they say its arnold clarks issue, they are just apparently trying to make sure it goes smoothly, yet they dont seem to be doing to well with that part!
