A lot of people on comment on how reliable 1*2's are on high mileage- & yes if there serviced well the engine does hold together-
However mileage also takes its toll on components- Suspension etc etc-
Whilst its cheaper to buy a high miler the risk will always be that those miles will have...
THe thing I always wonder on these threads is what they actually end up selling for-
I bet he gets around 6k for that-
Theres an orange 182 on Pistonheads thats been reduced more times than I can shake a stick at!!!

you will never get as good a paint finish from a mobile repair as a proper bodyshop-
Mobile sprays are ok for lower valences / front lips/ splitters- but for the top of the bumper its got to be a bodyshop-
I would blend the top quarter of the bonnet as well- lose a few of your stone chips

I will have nov glasses on my doorstep tomorrow- but 4k would be nice- but at this time of year + mileage being hefty I think people will be offering bottom dollar..
& its an 04...

I have a brand new rear box in stock 0 miles but no centre section
to be honest if you dont want that buy a performance one off here in the classifieds
Steve
Try & get one 2 or less previous.....
If you get a 182 with 4 prev then when your logbook turns up its has 5 prev on the book- people generally lose interest at that point...

I wouldnt buy a twingo B*tch to sell on-
Looking at what sort of mileage you do & how often you drive it- if you have the disposable income it would be either an R27- pref LY or a 197 cup with recaros / AC + speedlines
both great cars-

The best option is let them get the box off, get it down to agency transmissions & see what they can do about the gearing etc-
Gonna cost a few bob though - :(

no cup packs. sadly people are clued up these days & want the full bifta
Plus the goose is getting fat, 2/3 weeks & you may as well forget private car sales for the winter-
